aeotime and Profound both track how AI engines mention your brand, but they are built for different buyers. Profound is an enterprise AI marketing platform: custom pricing, prompt volume data, bot log analytics, ChatGPT Shopping tracking and AI agents. aeotime is a self-serve AI visibility tool: $99/month for 250 prompts across eight engines, with an Agency plan for client work. If you are a large brand with an enterprise budget, Profound has more depth. If you are a small or mid-size company or an agency that wants published pricing and every engine included, aeotime is the simpler fit.
Disclosure: aeotime is our product. We describe Profound from its own pricing and product pages as of September 2026.
Who is each tool for?
Profound says it serves more than 1,000 enterprise brands, and on September 15, 2026 it announced a $180M Series D at a $1.8B valuation. Its product has moved from tracking toward an "AI marketer" suite with agents that find work, draft content and request approval. It fits marketing organizations with several teams, security reviews, SSO requirements and budget for a sales-led contract.
aeotime fits teams that want to start today, pay a known price, and see all major engines at once: in-house marketers at SMBs and mid-market companies, founders, and agencies managing several clients. Setup is automatic: aeotime scans the site, builds a brand profile, suggests competitors and prompts, and can turn Google Search Console queries into prompts.

Where Profound is stronger
Profound is ahead on several things, and it's better to say that plainly:
- Prompt volume data. Profound's Prompt Volumes feature estimates what people actually ask AI engines, from conversation data. If you don't know which prompts to track, this answers a question aeotime can't. aeotime has no prompt volume data set.
- Agent Analytics depth. Both tools show how AI crawlers hit your site; Profound's Agent Analytics is a larger enterprise product with more agent types and reporting.
- ChatGPT Shopping at SKU level. For retailers, product-level tracking inside ChatGPT Shopping is live on Profound Enterprise. aeotime's shopping and marketplace audits are coming soon.
- AI agents and content workflow. Profound's AI Marketer agents draft content and posts in your brand voice. aeotime tells you where you are missing; it doesn't write the content.
- Enterprise requirements. SSO/SAML, SOC 2, dedicated support, API access and 200+ integrations. Large companies often need these to buy at all.
- Copilot and Exa coverage. If Microsoft Copilot matters to your buyers, Profound tracks it and aeotime doesn't.
- Scale and funding. A $180M round funds a lot of product work. That matters if you are signing a multi-year contract.
Where aeotime is stronger
- Published pricing, all engines included. $99/month (or $79 yearly) covers 250 prompts on eight engines, including Claude, Grok and DeepSeek. No engine tiers, no sales call.
- Built for agencies. The Agency plan gives 500 prompts, white-label PDF reports, view-only client access and pitch workspaces for prospects, at $349/month (or $279 yearly). See aeotime for agencies.
- Faster setup. The site scan builds a brand profile and suggests competitors and prompts, so the first report doesn't depend on a strategist building a prompt list.
- Search Console-based prompts. Connecting GSC turns queries people already use to find you into prompts, which ties AI tracking to real demand for your site.
- Site AI-readiness audit included. The audit checks crawler access, structure and markup alongside visibility tracking, so you can fix what blocks citations. Our free AEO checker is a smaller version of it.
- Unlimited projects and seats on every paid plan.
